I thought our Fantom Fury^® vacuum with it's "bagless cyclone" feature was the best thing since sliced bread. Who needs bags, right? Ummm, someone with severe allergies...which I have. Now that we own a house along with 1 very hairy dog and two cats, I was lugging that thing up and down stairs constantly, nearly giving myself a hernia in the process. Well the Fury broke down and we borrowed a friend's Oreck, with some initial doubts. Afterall, the thing looked older than my grandmother and I could lift it with one hand tied behind my back...literally. How could something that weighed so little do a good job? Well, I was absolutely amazed and a week later I went online and purchased my own Oreck. I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival and KNOW I will love it. I only wish I had done it sooner!

Why do I love my Oreck? 1. Because it is lightweight, and for a 69 yr old with arthiritis this is good. 2. I got hornswaggled into buying a 1200.00 vacuum a couple of years ago, and it was hard to handle and I had to assemble it for every thing I do. I have a large 3 bedroom home fully carpeted. With my Oreck I can vacuum it only in about 20 mins. Now I just bring it out of the closet and go. I just had a friend of mine, Nancy Law buy an Oreck and she loves her as much as I do mine. Oreck has a permanent place in my home.

I owned four other vacuums and returned two because I was so unhappy with the performance. I became frustrated and decided to do some research about vacuums before buying. It came down to a Kirby^® or an Oreck. I decided on the Oreck because it got the same reviews or better and it was cheaper. Also I had the Oreck challenge. This was about two years ago. I am hooked on Oreck. My carpet has never looked this clean. I have since purchased other Oreck products. I urge anyone, especially people who have young children and pets ( I have both ) to take the Oreck challenge. You will never regret it. I promise.

Oreck actually gets the dog hair out of my carpet! With two active, black, high-shed dogs and white carpet my carpet often looks more black with ground-in hair. One swip with my Oreck and it's gone!

I live in a 200 year old log home. Most of my home has wood floors that have cracks between the boards. Also I have a brick floor in 2 rooms and also a rock floor in my pantry. My regular vacuum has always been a Rainbow^®, it was the only thing that could keep all varieties of my floors clean. One day our office purchased one of your vacuums and I took it home. I poured a can of salt on my wooden floors in between the cracks and told all the girls @ work if it worked on that floor I would by one the next day. When I used the Oreck it not only cleaned my floors but had no problem getting all the salt I had poured out in the cracks. It's my #1 vacuum cleaner for sure from now on! Yes, I do tell everyone!

Greatest vaccum ever made! Light weight, easy to handle, easy to transport from place to place(we use ours at home and carry in our RV during the summer months, just the right size for both!) For several years I purchased vaccums at hardware stores,ect.for $100-$150 and they lasted maybe a year, then I heard a commercial for Oreck on my office radio 10 years ago and decided to order and it has been the best purchase I have ever made in household appliances. Now I am ready to purchase my second one and I have highly recommended Oreck to all my friends. Thanks for a product that lives up to all its claims.

I especially love the way it cleans, but for me the ease of using it is wonderful. I have arthritis in my hips and before Oreck I could only clean one room at a time as my back and hips would be dreadfuly painful. Oreck is so light and easy to use that I can now vacuum my whole house at one time. It has made my life so much easier. Thank you, by the way, all my daughters are now going to buy an Oreck.
